Kuala Lumpur, Dec 6 — Nine years after activist Amri Che Mat’s abduction on Nov 24, 2016, his wife Norhayati Mohd Ariffin, 52, and Pastor Raymond Koh’s family remain in anguished limbo, questioning if their loved ones are alive.

Still Alive?

At today’s “Justice for the Disappeared” forum, Norhayati tearfully asked: “Where is Amri? Who caused him to disappear? Are they still alive, where are they?” She accused the government of muting key queries despite Suhakam, a taskforce, and High Court rulings confirming enforced disappearances.

Demanding prosecution of culprits and disciplinary action against negligent police, she vowed relentless pursuit of transparency until justice prevails for the families.
