Hoo Chong Kang, 58, was shocked to discover burn marks and shattered glass in his yard after two men on a motorcycle were caught on CCTV throwing an object at his home. The attack was linked to loan sharks who had been harassing his son over a cancelled loan.

His son, who works in Singapore, said he never received the promised SGD30,000 but was still pressured to repay interest and later threatened when he refused. The intimidation escalated to targeting the family home, forcing Hoo’s wife and relatives to temporarily relocate. A police report has been lodged, and authorities are urged to investigate.
