The misuse of AI has sparked concern again after Malaysian singer Daiyan Trisha became the target of doctored images falsely claiming she had left Islam.
Doctored AI Images Used by Fake Account
A fake account on Threads, using the name “Divyana Trisha,” posted edited photos of her in a saree and fabricated captions suggesting she had converted to Hinduism. The account also shared “before and after” images to strengthen the false narrative.
Outraged social media users quickly reported the profile, which has since become inaccessible. Daiyan later urged the public to keep reporting such impersonation attempts, expressing frustration over the repeated creation of fake accounts using her identity.
