Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim acknowledged the frustrations of Sabahans over long‑standing infrastructure problems despite the state receiving record federal allocations. He said concerns about unresolved water issues, unreliable electricity supply, and damaged roads were understandable, as communities had seen multiple administrations without meaningful improvement. 

PM Anwar Acknowledges Sabahans’ Frustration

Anwar recently visited Sabah to monitor project implementation and instructed the Prime Minister’s Department’s Implementation Unit to conduct coordinated monthly meetings to address critical matters, especially involving water and road management. He stressed that federal and state projects must follow schedule, with district‑level performance tracked closely and delays by project directors addressed promptly.
