The Malaysian Immigration Department (JIM) raided two illegal beauty treatment centres operating out of residential units in Cheras and Bukit Jalil, where foreign doctors were allegedly performing plastic surgery procedures.

The operations, conducted under Ops Dandan, followed two months of surveillance by JIM’s Special Tactical Unit and involved 44 enforcement officers. Seven Vietnamese women and two local women were arrested, while authorities seized RM9,070 in cash, surgical tools, unregistered medicines and implant devices.
A video showing officers entering one of the premises while a procedure was underway has gone viral. JIM says the centres posed serious safety risks to the public.
