PAS signalled a conciliatory approach towards MCA today, expressing readiness for dialogue to resolve “confusion” over its policies following MCA’s rejection of Perikatan Nasional. PAS information chief Ahmad Fadhli Shaari emphasised that perceptions of PAS should be clarified through open discussions rather than incomplete views.

He noted MCA’s past collaboration with PAS in the PN government and invited talks with any party, including MCA. This comes after MCA president Wee Ka Siong cited PAS’ religious conservatism and controversial statements as reasons Chinese voters cannot accept the Islamist party, ruling out joining PN.
