DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke has sharply criticised PKR’s Fuziah Salleh for prematurely declaring, before official results, that Pakatan Harapan and ally GRS had formed the Sabah government — when Harapan ultimately secured only one seat. In a candid interview with “The Keywords” YouTube channel, Loke revealed DAP was never consulted and labelled the press conference “the wrong approach” that “invited ridicule.”

He stressed that only GRS, the largest bloc, should have made such announcements, drawing parallels to Anwar Ibrahim’s role after GE15. Coming off DAP’s humiliating 0-for-8 wipeout in Sabah and erosion of Chinese support, Loke reiterated the party’s six-month ultimatum for Prime Minister Anwar to deliver visible reforms. While DAP will reassess its cabinet role if progress stalls, Loke firmly ruled out withdrawing parliamentary support, stating: “DAP will not let this government fall until the next general election.”
