Ekitike double seals Liverpool win; Salah returns amid Slot row

LIVERPOOL: Hugo Ekitike’s brace powered Liverpool to a 2-1 victory over Brighton at Anfield on Saturday, but Mohamed Salah’s return stole headlines. The Egyptian, benched after criticising manager Arne Slot for “throwing him under the bus,” came on midway through the second half for injured Joe Gomez.

Ekitike struck after just 46 seconds, then sealed the win in the 60th minute with Salah’s key assist. The result keeps Liverpool atop the Premier League amid resolved tensions.
