Sydney, December 15 — New South Wales Premier Chris Minns confirmed 15 people, including a child, were killed in a mass shooting at Bondi Beach, with one shooter also dead. Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon identified the gunmen as a 50-year-old licensed firearms holder and his 24-year-old son, with six registered firearms recovered at the scene.

Two improvised explosive devices were found and rendered safe. Overnight searches targeted properties in Campsie and Bonnyrigg. Over 328 officers were deployed to support Sydney’s Jewish community.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese pledged full resources to the response and vowed to eradicate antisemitism in Australia.
