Grace Wong to Receive Federal and Sarawak Incentives for SEA Games Hammer Throw Gold

Kuching, December 14 — Sarawak Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah announced that national hammer thrower Grace Wong Xiu Mei will receive incentives from both federal and Sarawak governments for her gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.

He revealed athletes also received pre-Games pocket money. Praising Grace’s performance, Abdul Karim noted she broke the national record four times en route to victory, throwing a winning 65.41m and setting multiple Games records.
