Kuala Lumpur, December 15 — Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) etched history by becoming the first team to win Malaysia’s FA Cup four times consecutively, demolishing Sabah 5-0 in the final at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.

JDT dominated early, with Jonathan Silva heading in the opener (9′), an own goal by Rawilson Batuil (20′), and Jairo Da Silva (23′) making it 3-0 at halftime. Sabah’s Miguel Cifuentes was red-carded early in the second half, allowing Oscar Arribas (64′) and Manuel Hidalgo to complete the rout. Arribas was named Man of the Match.
Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi declared December 15 a state public holiday to celebrate.
