Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced a Cabinet reshuffle, ending months of speculation over several key vacancies. Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani has been appointed the new minister of investment, trade and industry, replacing Senator Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

Akmal Nasir, a close ally of Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, has been named the new minister of economy. Hannah Yeoh, previously the youth and sports minister, will now serve in the Prime Minister’s Department overseeing federal territories. The reshuffle marks one of the most significant adjustments to Anwar’s administration since taking office.
