In a vile act of hate, an Islamic cemetery in Narellan, southwest Sydney, was desecrated with severed pig heads and carcasses placed at its entrance. The incident occurred just one day after a horrific terrorist attack at Bondi Beach on Sunday, where a 50-year-old man and his 24-year-old son opened fire on a Jewish community gathering, killing 15 and injuring 42.

Police are investigating the vandalism as a deliberate insult to Muslims. We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism and hate crimes, including the antisemitic attack and this reprehensible retaliation that only fuels division. Australia must unite against extremism and terror acts.
