Man suspected of killing Nur Farah Kartini has his remand extended today

SEREMBAN, 19 December 2025 – Police have arrested a second man, aged early 50s, near Genting Sempah, Pahang, to assist in investigating a woman’s body discovered inside a buried bag behind an unoccupied house in Kampung Batu 4, Pedas, Rembau on Thursday.

Suspect Arrested

Negeri Sembilan Deputy Police Chief SAC Muhammad Idzam Jaafar confirmed the arrest, bringing the total suspects to two. The first, a 41-year-old man, was detained in Melaka within 24 hours and remanded for seven days until December 25 under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Post-mortem is underway at Rembau Hospital to identify the victim and determine cause of death. Police believe the body belongs to a woman recently reported missing in Ampang Jaya, Selangor.
