The Kuala Lumpur High Court is set to deliver a key decision tomorrow (December 22, 2025) on whether former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak can serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.

Judge Alice Loke Yee Ching will rule at 9am on Najib’s judicial review application seeking to enforce an alleged royal addendum order that would allow him to complete his term at home instead of Kajang Prison.

D-day for Najib

The 72-year-old Najib has been incarcerated since August 23, 2022, serving a reduced six-year sentence and RM50 million fine for misappropriating RM42 million from SRC International Sdn Bhd.

If successful, Najib would transfer to house arrest; if rejected, he remains in prison until August 23, 2028.
