A lorry’s drive shaft detached and fell onto the Seletar Expressway (SLE) near Exit 13A to the CTE around midnight, causing seven to eight vehicles to suffer tyre blowouts after running over it.

A 61-year-old Porsche driver, en route from Punggol, hit the object at 90km/h, bursting both right tyres and damaging rims. Repairs exceed $20,000. He spotted several other stranded cars. The hazardous shaft remained in the road until EMAS teams removed it for safety.
