Netizens are rejoicing with the fact that our northernmost state has finally opened a brand new mall. The Kangar Jaya Mall boasts a cinema and a supermarket. It is unclear what other stores might be opened there, but it will most definitely be of help to the local residents.

Redditors joked that the mall must be empty as Perlis doesn’t have many people around to begin with. Furthermore, a user sarcastically asked if there’s only 5 customers in the mall. These jokes have unfortunately been synonymous with the state.
Others state that the students there will greatly appreciate this new commercial center. Previously, they’d have to go to another state just to watch a movie.
