Traders in Nilai’s Desa Palma commercial area expressed shock upon learning that the 62-year-old man arrested over the December 22 improvised explosive device blast was a familiar face. A shop assistant recalled him visiting two to three times weekly for essentials like eggs, ice cream and bread, describing him as unremarkable and often wearing shorts or a face mask.
