A young couple in their 20s were shocked to discover their Bandar Puteri Jaya home in Sungai Petani had been burgled on Monday. Nur Amizah Hadirah Jamaludin and husband Ameer Syafiq Shamsuri, who commute daily to Penang, returned at 6.45pm to find the house ransacked and their white Suzuki Swift missing.

Stolen items included gold jewellery and dowry money, with total losses exceeding RM10,000. Neighbours reported seeing a stranger at the property around 8am. The couple, who moved in five months ago, filed a police report and appealed on social media for information, offering a reward.
