Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid, an UMNO Wanita EXCO member, has responded to recent statements by Akmal Saleh implying an ultimatum on UMNO’s political alliances with the phrase “stay or leave, we decide.” In a widely shared social media post, she acknowledged the Youth wing’s concerns as genuine but criticised the public tone as undermining party leadership and discipline.
Akmal Stands Alone
She emphasised that strategic decisions must follow official structures, not emotional pressure or public threats, warning that such narratives weaken UMNO internally and arm opponents. Nurulhidayah praised the planned special Pemuda convention for internal debate while urging constructive dialogue over divisive rhetoric.
