A 2025 full of lows for Manchester United closed in the most classic way – stumbling against what could be the worst team in Premier League history. Wolves, arriving at Old Trafford on an 11-game losing streak, managed to nick a precious point, their third of the season. United? They looked like the team that drank the wrong coffee that morning.
Man United held
United’s goal came from Joshua Zirkzee – yes, his first at Old Trafford in over a year – but courtesy of a massive deflection, as if the ball didn’t want to go in properly. Zirkzee was so bad that despite scoring, he was still hooked at half-time. Ruben Amorim tried new tactics, but apparently still doesn’t get that United aren’t a team that can play pretty. Wolves, under Rob Edwards, nearly won big. Sadly for United, 2025 ends as usual: full of false hope and massive disappointment.
