Iloilo Vice-Mayor Dies — Philippines: Iloilo Vice-Mayor Dies After Accidentally Shooting Herself

Duenas Vice-Mayor Aimee Paz Lamasan died on December 31 after accidentally discharging her firearm the previous morning near her residence in Iloilo City’s La Paz district. The bullet struck her stomach. She was rushed to St Paul’s Hospital but succumbed to her injuries.

Vice-Mayor Dies

Mayor Robert Martin Pama confirmed her death, posting an emotional farewell. Her live-in partner, Lord Byron Torrecarion, recounted the 7am incident to local media. Authorities are verifying details.
