KLUANG: A motorcyclist was killed and his wife and one-year-old son seriously injured when their Benelli TNT300 motorcycle crashed into a parked lorry on Jalan Empangan, Taman Murni Jaya, Machap, last night. Kluang police chief ACP Bahrin Mohd Noh said the 7.30pm accident occurred as the family rode from Tasik Machap towards a housing area. Initial investigations revealed the motorcycle lost control after being chased by a dog, veering into the opposite lane and hitting the lorry’s rear.
Baby Seriously Injured
The rider died at the scene, while his wife and baby sustained serious head injuries and are treated at Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom. The case is probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
