Humberside Police have named Sarah Keeling, 45, and her daughter Grace Keeling, 15, as victims of a tragic sea incident off Withernsea, East Yorkshire, on January 2. Sarah’s body was recovered alongside that of 67-year-old Mark Ratcliffe, who died attempting to rescue them amid rough waves. Searches continue for missing teenager Grace.

The incident began around 3:15pm at Central Promenade, with witnesses describing the girl being swept away. Ratcliffe’s family hailed him a “selfless hero.” Families are receiving support from specialist officers, with increased police presence in the area.
