TOKYO, Jan 10, 2026 – Honda has secured a sponsorship deal with LCR Honda, expanding the team to a two-bike entry in the 2026 MotoGP season. The second bike, titled Pro Honda LCR, features Honda’s genuine oil and chemical brand as title sponsor. Riding it will be 21-year-old Brazilian Diogo Moreira, the 2025 Moto2 world champion.

Johann Zarco continues on the Castrol Honda LCR. Pro Honda previously appeared in wildcard entries during 2024-2025 with Stefan Bradl, Aleix Espargaro and Takaaki Nakagami. Honda’s Kotaro Shimizu expressed delight at supporting Moreira’s challenge, emphasising Pro Honda’s motorsport-derived reliability. LCR boss Lucio Cecchinello highlighted shared values of performance and dependability in the new partnership. (128 words)
