DAP secretary-general Loke Siew Fook has reminded party members to show restraint regarding former prime minister Najib Razak, stressing the need to preserve relations within the unity government. Speaking on a podcast, Loke said Najib once led Umno, now DAP’s ally in government, and unnecessary remarks could damage cooperation.

He disagreed with Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin’s social media post celebrating Najib’s failed house arrest bid, saying the party’s objective was already met as Najib is serving his sentence. Loke emphasised that effective communication and mutual respect are crucial for sustaining reform efforts within the coalition.
