Perak Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority said reports of durians selling for RM1 per kilogramme in Tapah only involved grade C fruit and did not reflect the overall harvest. Director Mohd Salleh Saidin said about 70 per cent of production in Jalan Pahang consisted of grade C durians, while grade A durians were still selling between RM8 and RM11 per kilogramme.

He said the harvest, marketed as Durian Bukit Jalan Pahang, was bound by prior agreements between farmers and traders, limiting Fama’s involvement this season. The production season is expected to end by January 2026, with Fama remaining ready to assist if issues arise.
