The move, hailed as a “major step upmarket,” follows United Airlines’ recent deal and adds to customers such as Qatar Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, and Air New Zealand. Starlink, a SpaceX subsidiary, operates over 7,000 low‑earth orbit satellites, enabling seamless connectivity even on transatlantic flights.
Musk celebrated the partnership on X, while United’s CEO Scott Kirby said the technology will transform in‑flight entertainment. More carriers are expected to sign on to compete.
