Air France Flight 191 from Bengaluru to Paris turned into a two‑day ordeal after the Boeing 777 diverted to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. The flight was already 21 hours late when it departed India, and four hours into the journey the 26‑year‑old jet descended and made a U‑turn, reportedly due to an engine issue.

Air France Passengers Face Delay

Passengers spent 21 hours in Ashgabat before a spare aircraft took them onward to France. Indian nationals on board were assisted by their consulate, though it remains unclear where most passengers stayed. Turkmenistan, one of the world’s most politically secluded states, became an unexpected stopover for weary travelers.
