KUALA LUMPUR – Former Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin was acquitted by the Sessions Court on Friday over three corruption charges totaling RM2.8 million. Judge Rosli Ahmad ruled the prosecution would not proceed with the case against him.

However, the trial against his wife, Datin Seri Zizie Izette A. Samad, continues, with hearings set for March 5, 6, and 12. Bung Moktar, 66, passed away on December 5, 2025, following kidney failure and a severe lung infection. He had previously faced charges for accepting bribes linked to Felcra investments through his wife.
