Inspired by college experiences and later training, she began matchmaking as a side hustle while working in corporate restructuring. In 2022, at age 54, she transitioned fully into the profession. Chao says her age and life experience are now assets, giving her wisdom and perspective that clients value. She finds fulfillment in creating unexpected matches and enjoys independence in her work.
