An Immigration Officer Grade 22, Mohamad Fazli Abdul Rahim, 46, was charged in Shah Alam Sessions Court on January 19, 2026, with 53 counts of corruption and money laundering totalling RM789,100. He allegedly received RM510,500 in bribes to allow foreigners entry without proper procedures between February 2023 and August 2024, and laundered RM278,600 in illegal proceeds.

His wife, Suhana Ismail, 44, also an immigration officer, faced seven counts of using RM125,850 in illicit funds to purchase gold. Both pleaded not guilty. Mohamad Fazli was granted bail of RM20,000 (corruption) and RM24,000 (money laundering), with conditions. The cases are set for mention on March 10.
