Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the Form 3 Assessment (PT3) will return in 2027 under the National Education Plan 2026–2035. The exam will cover five core subjects: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, Science, and History.
PT3 Exam Returning
Starting this year, a new Primary Four assessment will also be introduced, overseen by the Malaysian Examinations Board. Anwar emphasized that all schools, including international, religious, and UEC institutions, must include BM and History in SPM.
He said the reforms aim to create a fairer, more competitive education system and resolve language controversies tied to public university entry requirements.
