JITRA – A tragic accident at the Jitra Toll Plaza (northbound) claimed the lives of a young couple early this morning. The victims were identified as Pang Seng Ching, 21, from Pauh, Perlis, and his Tan Hui Shan, 20, from Jelutong, Penang. Kubang Pasu District Police Chief Supt Mohd.
Two Youngsters Killed
Radzi Abdul Rahim said the Honda Civic, driven by Seng Ching, lost control around 1.15am, crashed into the toll lane divider, overturned, and burst into flames. Both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters from Jitra Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by Seberang Nyonya Volunteer Fire Brigade, responded to the call at 1.05am and extinguished the blaze. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause.
