The Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) is seeking to revive its political relevance by distancing itself from the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and appealing to Malay voter trust. MCA vice president Ti Lian Ker said the party would remain in Barisan Nasional (BN) but called for BN to exit the Madani government, which he claimed is dominated by DAP.

He argued that DAP has become a political liability, failing to gain Malay support while losing credibility among Chinese voters. MCA, now holding just two parliamentary seats, is framing its stance as one of principle over power amid declining influence.
