Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has confirmed that students in the Persons with Disabilities (OKU) category will receive free education under the National Education Plan 2026–2035. This applies immediately to all OKU students in public universities, polytechnics, and community colleges.

The announcement was warmly received by Rajendrra Vharma, an autistic student and artist recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records, who described it as a “gift of hope.” In a video message, he encouraged fellow students with special needs not to give up, thanking parents, teachers, and the Prime Minister for their support and compassion.
