Calls for Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin’s resignation have intensified after leaked correspondence revealed deep divisions with PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang over PN’s leadership direction. Former Bersatu leaders Saifuddin Abdullah, Wan Saiful Wan Jan, and suspended MP Wan Ahmad Fayshal have all demanded Muhyiddin step aside.

The dispute centers on Muhyiddin’s claim of a “consensus” to abolish the PN chairperson role and form new councils led by Bersatu and PAS. Hadi, however, denied such an agreement, exposing a widening rift that threatens PN’s stability ahead of elections.
