Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs has expressed interest in partnering with Malaysia to develop future semiconductor technologies, citing Malaysia’s more established industry base and experience. This move could lead to expanded regional cooperation in advanced chip research and production. 

Malaysia eyed as key partner by Indonesia in semiconductor tech collaboration

The partnership focus includes joint initiatives involving research institutions and private tech firms to enhance competitiveness in advanced semiconductor markets. 

Officials from both nations see the collaboration as an opportunity to strengthen regional capabilities and share technological expertise in high-growth sectors.
