KUALA LUMPUR, 9 February 2026 – Malaysian kettlebell athletes representing Bungaraya Kettlebell delivered a strong performance at the Pendekar Kettlebell Club Competition in Jakarta, securing multiple podium finishes against regional and international contenders. The event featured 38 athletes from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the Philippines and Germany, competing across beginner, amateur and semi-amateur categories.
Malaysia’s contingent stood out with Muiz Tajul winning the Double Half Snatch 20kg (Semi-Amateur), Farhan Ariff Mohd topping the Double Half Snatch 24kg (Amateur), and Alvin Lambino clinching gold in the Double Half Snatch 16kg (Beginner).

Other notable results included Lukman Jasril’s second place in Snatch 24kg (Amateur), Judy Michael’s runner-up finish in Biathlon Semi-Amateur (12kg), and podium placements by Martin Merkle and Norbeizura Shamshuddin.
The success highlights Malaysia’s growing kettlebell community and the sport’s potential to gain broader recognition alongside mainstream disciplines, combining strength, endurance, and long-term athletic resilience.
