In a surprising turn of events, Sadio Mane led Senegal to a 4-2 victory over Brazil in a friendly match in Lisbon.
This defeat marked Brazil’s third loss in their last four matches. Notably, it was the first time Brazil lost by a two-goal margin since 2015 and the first time they conceded four or more goals since their infamous 7-1 loss to Germany in the 2014 World Cup semifinals.
What A Strike
Lucas Paqueta initially gave Brazil the lead, but Senegal fought back with goals from Habib Diallo, an own goal by Marquinhos, and a superb strike by Mane for Senegal.
Mane On Target
Marquinhos redeemed himself with Brazil’s second goal, but Mane sealed the win from the penalty spot. This defeat comes as Brazil is still searching for a new coach, with Carlo Ancelotti being pursued by the Brazilian FA (CBS).
