SINGAPORE – A family holiday turned tragic when a six-year-old Indonesian girl was killed in a road accident in Chinatown on Feb 6. The child and her mother were crossing South Bridge Road near the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple when a car exiting a car park struck them. Eyewitnesses said the girl was trapped under the vehicle.
Six-Year-Old Girl Dies
She was taken conscious to hospital but later died, while her 31-year-old mother remains in serious condition. Police confirmed the 38-year-old female driver was arrested for driving without reasonable consideration, causing death. Investigations into the fatal crash are ongoing.
