Over 600 inmates from 34 prisons will get to celebrate Aidilfitri with their families. Najib?

601 inmates from 34 Malaysian prisons were released under the Ihsan MADANI PBSL programme ahead of Aidilfitri. Aged 21 to 68, including four women, most were convicted under the Dangerous Drugs Act and earned release through good behavior and rehabilitation. Supervised by 100 parole officers, these Licensed Free Persons (OBB) must adhere to strict conditions. Eligibility requires a sentence under three years, good health, and positive conduct. Monitoring periods vary from 10 days to two years, with employment opportunities offered. Kluang Prison saw the most releases (68), while Sungai Petani had one. One recipient, Idris, secured a job and aims to rebuild his life for his children.
