Authorities recently seized 6,000 methamphetamine pills during a raid at a hotel in Sungai Golok, detaining six Malaysians, including a modern dikir barat singer from Kelantan. Acting on tips about drug activity, police found the pills hidden in a hotel bathroom and arrested three men and three women, suspecting the drugs were intended for distribution to addicts in Kelantan. Initial urine tests indicated all detainees were positive for drug use. The suspects have since been transferred to Narathiwat Prison, where they face an extended detention for further investigation. Results from additional drug and fingerprint tests are expected soon.
