At the 28th UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai, Malaysia’s Minister of Natural Resources, YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, announced the 6th International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) for 2024. This event, organized by Malaysia’s Sustainable Energy Development Authority and the Ministry, is set for August 20-21, 2024, and aims to accelerate the global energy transition through innovation.

The Summit will feature conferences, exhibitions, and technology showcases, emphasizing Malaysia’s role in sustainable energy leadership. The Minister stressed the importance of innovation in energy solutions and called for global participation. The Summit’s theme, “Accelerating Energy Transition Through Innovation,” reflects Malaysia’s commitment to a systematic energy transition, aiming for a 70% renewable energy capacity by 2050.
YBhg. Dato’ Hamzah, CEO of SEDA Malaysia, also highlighted the Summit’s role in fostering regional alliances and innovative energy technologies. The 6th ISES is poised to be a key platform for knowledge exchange and sustainable energy advancements.
