MACC Clears Afdlin Shauki of Alleged Misconduct in DBKL Project

1 min read

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has cleared actor-director Afdlin Shauki of alleged misconduct involving a RM4 million Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) project. Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said MACC reviewed DBKL’s documents and found no wrongdoing, though weaknesses in procurement guidelines were identified. MACC’s Governance Investigation Division is now assessing DBKL’s procurement processes for compliance. Earlier, Afdlin denied allegations raised by Telegram account Edisi Siasat, which also implicated Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif confirmed DBKL had launched an internal investigation into the matter.
