KOTA BHARU: The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) said it is prepared to provide protection for witnesses in the inquest into the death of 13-year-old Zara Qairina Mahathir if circumstances demand it. Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar said while no immediate need exists, measures would be taken should threats escalate. He confirmed police detained an individual over online threats against forensic pathologist Dr Jessie Hiu, whose testimony is central to the case. Dusuki warned that intimidation of witnesses will not be tolerated and urged the public to respect the judicial process as the inquest continues to seek justice.
