KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — The Attorney‑General’s Chambers (AGC) has classified a criminal intimidation complaint by businessman Albert Tei Jiann Cheing against former MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki as “no further action” (NFA). AGC said a thorough review of the police investigation papers found elements of intimidation under Section 506 of the Penal Code could not be proven.

The case stemmed from Tei’s May 13 police report alleging threats linked to Azam’s lawyer. Separately, Azam has filed a defamation suit in the Shah Alam High Court against Tei over online publications and podcast remarks.
