Alleged abuse: Mum, boyfriend now nabbed after son, 7, dies

A 25-year-old woman and her 36-year-old boyfriend were arrested in Ampang, Selangor, after the woman’s seven-year-old son died, allegedly from abuse. Police were alerted when the mother claimed her son had stopped breathing in his sleep. However, bruises on the boy’s face, neck, hands, and feet led authorities to suspect abuse. An autopsy confirmed internal head bleeding as the cause of death—the boyfriend, who tested positive for methamphetamine and has a criminal record.
