Another snake on plane incident causes much drama in Australia

1 min read

As passengers boarded Virgin Australia Flight VA337 at Melbourne Airport, a green tree snake, hidden in the cargo hold, sparked chaos. Snake catcher Mark Pelley, suspecting a venomous threat, rushed to the scene. The 60-centimeter serpent slithered behind a panel, risking a full plane evacuation if it vanished. With one swift grab, Pelley captured the harmless native, averting disaster. The flight, bound for Brisbane, faced a two-hour delay. Pelley speculated the snake hitched a ride in luggage from Brisbane, escaping mid-flight. Relief swept through the crew as the plane, now snake-free, prepared for takeoff.
