Anwar Ibrahim last night urged the authorities to free the people arrested during a protest at the Dataran Merdeka.
He says they should be freed immediately. “Don’t arrest people protesting and don’t intimidate them,” he says.
“People must be given room to protest peacefully,” he suggests.
All detainees were released at 1.1 0am-midnight.
